The Baron was once a titan of high society, a master of trade and influence. However, his disregard for the very systems he exploited eventually led to his ruin. Crushed by the weight of his own unregulated power, his titles were stripped, and his fortunes withered. Refusing to crawl back to those who mocked him, the Baron set out into the war-torn wilds to build a new empire from the mud up. He found a desolate land, scarred by conflict—but where others saw ruin, he saw opportunity. This time, things would be different. Haunted by his past failures, the Baron has drafted a strict set of personal mandates. He no longer operates on whims; he operates on Contracts. He seeks out the most fertile lands, forces his "neighbors" into iron-clad agreements, and constructs lavish Manors to project his renewed dominance. In the Baron’s domain, you don’t just live—you comply.
The Baron de Marche is a "Lawful Evil" expansionist. He doesn't just occupy territory; he legislates it. The Mandate of the Swamp: Because of his past, the Baron is bound by his own rules. He must follow a strict sequence of actions (work regulations) to regain his lost glory. Property Rights: Any rival who have to keep tokens or buildings within the Baron's "Contracted Lands" must follow work regulations. Manor Expansion: By building opulent Manors, the Baron increases his reach and score, turning a war-torn wasteland into a high-society stronghold.
